I've been wanting to do a prehistoric expansion for years now. Tropical dinosaur-populated lands have been a staple in my imagination since I was knee-high.

The Nameless Wild is a remote land populated by archaic creatures who were never under the stewardship of the elves, and thus retained their savage features. This is my lore excuse to shoehorn dinosaurs into things. And not hairy, feathery weird dinosaurs. I don't care about what's scientifically accurate. I do what I want. There are also people who got trapped here, remnants of settlers who fell back into savagery. And some of them have begun taming primeval beasts.

Dinosaurs were one of my first obsessions as a kid, and this persisted into adulthood. In later years, I became almost equally intrigued by Ice Age creatures as well. So I also included a sabertooth cat, as you can see here. And he is an absolute menace. There are plenty of big beasts, as well as dangerous environmental encounters like Jungle Chasm. The precarious fallen log across it seems easy enough to traverse, but a stroke of bad luck here could mean a fiery end to your adventure. It gives me anxiety.

This one will be one for the books. In fact I'm more excited about this expansion than the previous ones. I think some of these cards will potentially be Dragonvault staples for years to come, especially when paired with the new batch of limited edition champions and companions I'm dropping with this.
