FOIL Grom - Limited to 100 (Pre-Order)

Tropes aren't always bad. Some are very good actually, such as stoic dwarven woodsmen with exceptional animal handling skills. And that's exactly what Grom is. He is a controlled force of nature, and animals respect him for it. This is why his ultimate allows you to stop the discard of a companion, or give it a much-needed courage boost when it would otherwise shun the enemy.

Let's say you start the game with a companion, but you don't want to part with a food card. You can use Grom's ultimate to keep that companion by your side even if it is hungry. A little messed up, I'll admit.

Some cards will prevent companions from blocking. I haven't released those cards yet, but trust me, they are coming. With Grom, you can give a companion some confidence so it won't flee in the face of danger. This versatility is one of the reasons why Grom shines.

You have to admit, the wolf has aura too. But he is also there to show us just how big Grom is. Which is not very big. He may be a short king, but to be fair, that is also a larger-than-average wolf.
