Flickertongue, my darling. What a cute little harbinger of death you are. She may be small, and 1 damage might not seem like a lot, but paired with a mercenary this can be deadly. Not only that, but her ultimate refreshes whenever she is fed.

About that terminology... the concept of feeding is not new. To feed a character simply means to use a food card on them. So you get the usual healing effects, but also, in Flickertongue’s case, her ultimate comes back. So you can roast someone again. Because her ability simply says "deal 1 damage," she is not limited to champions and can damage companions as well. Yes, this means she can snipe another person’s animal. Evil, I know.

The rule with companions is: if you own one, you can start the game with it. Just don’t forget to give them what they ask for when the game starts. In her case, you’ll need to part with a food card. But she can also block for you, and this can be a game changer, especially if you pull a big dragon and don’t have enough money to pacify it. Think of your companions as your loyal minions. Except they’re cute, and it’s really sad when they die.
