FOIL Bristlehorn - Limited to 100 (Pre-Order)

When I wrote my first fantasy story at eight years old, I imagined a species of slightly-larger-than-normal squirrels with prominent horns that dwelt in deep forests. At that time I called them squillaks (derivative, I know). I still remember how loud that keyboard was. It was the year 2000 after all.

Fast-forward to now and I am 33, and still delving into my childhood for inspiration. I wanted to resurrect this charming creature, with some minor adjustments. I like the name Bristlehorn. It's earthy, simple and delightfully English, something that has grown on me with time.

Squirrels are known to be quick and maybe a bit greedy, so our friend Bristlehorn will infiltrate the enemy territory, spying on their hand and even bringing back food if you ask him to. This can be done once per game as part of his ultimate ability. Convenient, as you will have to part with a food card at the start of the game to get him to join you on your quest. To feed Bristlehorn simply means to use a food card on him, after which it goes into the discard pile.

Bristlehorn is a companion, which means he can block for your champion if things get dangerous. He only has 2 toughness, but damage doesn't roll over, so he can block a mercenary or a big encounter if need be. This makes him a valuable addition to your party, even if he didn't have his useful ultimate.

This card is holographic foil and is limited to 100 copies.
