Old Tom Fuller

Old Tom Fuller is an enigmatic deity which is known throughout several cultures in Faeheim as a trickster spirit. He is said to take the form of a grinning man in jester's attire, and to speak in riddles.

According to legends about him, Tom is said to enjoy making deals with mortal men and women which, more often than not, end disastrously for that person unless Tom is outwitted during the exchange.

Old Tom Fuller has been known to tempt mortals not only with material pleasures, but has been rumored to be able to influence the romantic inclinations of mortals as well, suggesting that he has at least a partial influence over the free will of other beings. This has led some to believe that Old Tom Fuller may be comparable in power to some of the higher Divines. There are even cults, particularly in the northern realms of Vuldaria, who worship Tom Fuller as a sovereign deity, placating him with various offerings.

The figure of Tom Fuller has also influenced the Common tongue. Initially, the phase "Tom Fullery," had been used by Vuldarians to denote mischief. Over time, this evolved into the more commonly used phrase, "tomfoolery."
